How old do I have to be to get started?
You must be at least 15 years old to start taking Drivers Education and you must be at least 15 1/2 to take your written test at the DMV to obtain your permit.

What's the next step after I've completed Drivers Education?

After you've completed Drivers Education and have obtained your completion certificate by mail you may now go directly to the DMV to take your written test.

What do I need to take my written test at the DMV?
In order to be allowed to take your written test you need your completion certificate for Drivers Education, SSN , birth certificate or valid passport and  Complete Application requirements, Have your Parents or Guardians signatures on the DL-44, and pass a traffic laws and road signs test.

Is there some practice test i could study before i take the written test?
Yes, there are a few sample test on the DMV'S website  in which you can practice.

If I fail to pass the written test how long do I have to wait to take it again?

You can go back and re-take your test a week later that gives you enough time to study and get ready for your second attempt.

Can I start driving once I obtain my permit?

Once you obtain your permit you can't start driving until you have had your first 2hrs of training with a licensed instructor and he/she signs the permit.

Can I drive alone once I have my permit?
No, you may not drive alone you have to drive with a parent or guardian or an adult 25 years or older with a valid drivers license.

When can I drive on my own?

You can drive when you have your provisional license but you still can't drive passengers under 20 unless you are accompanied by your parent or guardian or an adult 25 yrs or older with a valid driver's license.

When can I get my provisional license?
You must be at least 16 and under 18 years of age, and you must to have your permit for 6 months before applying for your provisional license.

What do I need to have/do to get my provisional license?

You must have both your Drivers ED and Drivers Training completion certificates the permit that you've had for the last 6 months, your parent's signature on your permit

How can i prepare myself for the test?


at what age am I considered an adult?

Once you hit 18 years of age you are now considered an adult.

What are the requirements for me as an adult to obtain my permit?

You must be 18 years or older, and be able to provide a valid social security number, birth certificate and complete the DL-44 form and pay a non refundable fee.

What's the next step after I fit all the requirements to obtain my permit?

You must go to the DMV and take your written test and pass.

How many errors am I allowed to have in order to pass my written test?The most errors you are allowed to have are 7, on your 8th error you fail.

If I fail do I have to pay again?

The fee that you pay to take the test is good for 12 months after you pay and is good for only 3 tries.

Do I have to take drivers training?
NO, as an adult it is not required but we do provide it. We have instructors who will help teach you how to drive or help refresh your driving skills see our prices list for more information.

Does the DMV have cars available for me to use to do my driving test?
NO, but we do and we provide all the requirements that you will need in order to take your test and we will even provide you with an hour of instruction for a reasonable fee.

After I do my test and pass how long does it take for my license to get to me?

About 3-4 weeks through the mail.
